One of Victor's and Dot's favorite pastimes was fishing.

We went fishing on the backwater.  We had seats with an umbrella.  We had wonderful times up there.  Dinah was at Judson at that time, and she never went fishing with us on that boat.  We'd go 2 x a week.  I would catch 10-12 crappie, and I always beat Victor.  - Dot Grace, 1997 interview

I can tell you - and anyone who knew Dot could tell you - that Dot was a very competitive person.  She had fun, absolutely.  And she wasn't mean-spirited about it.  She just wanted to beat you.  Whether you were playing Rummycube, working the daily crossword puzzles, rooting for the Crimson Tide in a football game, watching Wheel of Fortune or fishing, she was "in it to win it."  And she would really brag about her victories, too!  This is one attribute of Dot that I loved, and I picked up some of this from her!  So this little reminder of her fishing exploits was typical Dot.
