The Grove Park Inn is one of Asheville's leading spots. It was built in 1913 and is located high in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some prominent guests: Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, Woodrow Wilson, John D. Rockefeller, FDR, Herbert Hoover, Houdini, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Dwight Eisenhower, Mark C. Espy, Sr......and the list goes on!
