Daniel Ridge Falls

A friend and I went hiking today in the Pisgah National Forest.  After first stopping off at Looking Glass Falls and Sliding Rock, we made our way to the trailhead for the Daniel Ridge Trail Loop.  What was expected to be a moderate 4-5 mile hike turned into a 7.5 mile one after we took the wrong trail back to the parking lot.  Boy were we happy once we eventually made it back!  On the plus side, we did have an encounter with some lovely Peruvian llamas, Pilgrim and John.  Be sure to check out the video below.

“The mountains are intimations of transcendence, which he is now free to pursue, and the walking writes messages in every cell of his body, telling him that he is not locked inside a cement box, nor in a water drum, but is moving forward.”
