Henry County During Civil War

article by Henry County historian, Larry Smith

I'd like to be able to list all relatives who fought or served in some capacity in the Civil War.  As I get names, I will post them here.

Ezekiel Grace (my gg-grandfather)
Hardy Grace (my ggg-grandfather)
John Wesley Solomon (my ggg-grandfather)  - served as chaplain
Joseph Samuel Espy
Thomas Franklin Espy (my gg-grandfather)

parole paper and NT Bible of Ezekiel Grace

The Union leader who signed the parole paper was G.H. Kneeland, the captain who arrested the Georgia governor.  I am not sure where Ezekiel Grace was captured.
