Big Butt Trail

This Blue Ridge Parkway hike is around 8 miles roundtrip and has over 2000 feet in elevation gain.  It's a must-do Fall hike.  The most spectacular views are from Little Butt Mountain, where you have unobstructed views of Mt. Mitchell and miles and miles of the Black Mountain range.  After watching my video and perusing the photos (most by Mark Schmidt), click here to learn more about Big Butt Trail.
