Pure Treasure

In the video, my brother Miles is the first baby (1969).  I am the second (1971).

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts. ~Washington Irving

My mother is a poem
I’ll never be able to write,
though everything I write
is a poem to my mother.
~Sharon Doubiago

Brought tears to my eyes. Not only was Dinah a beautiful woman, she was a beautiful mother in every sense of the word. I think that being a mother was the most important thing in the world to her. All you had to do was listen to the love and pride in her voice when she talked about you children.

Hey Allen, thank you so much for the video of your beautiful mother and babies. Indeed, Dinah loved her children very much. Robert Edward

I grew up with your mom. She was friends with my older brother and sister. She lived down the road from us and we all attended the same church, road the same bus to school. I remember attending her wedding and as a child I thought she was the most beautiful bride, like a princess. Wonderful memories. - Pam Mobley
