This is the first Whitney Houston album I ever purchased. It was in 1987, and I was visiting my brother Mark at Samford University in Birmingham (AL). In fact, I was in basketball camp that summer at Samford. And before Mark took me back to Headland, we stopped off at Brookwood Village, where I bought this album. I remember thinking how beautiful she was! Played this album on the way to South Alabama, on that 3 1/2 hour drive. I Wanna Dance With Somebody was my favorite. I also ended up going back and buying Whitney's previous album.
Just recently, Kade and I watched the Lifetime movie Whitney. I thought it was well done. Made me start reminiscing.
