This is one of the best locations in town for a sunset and panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Other pluses: not known to tourists; even locals overlook or haven't heard of it; involves a bit of hiking (but not over strenuous); a perfect spot to bask in the warmth of the sun; can take your dogs (or llamas!); and a space where you can have a romantic picnic and open a bottle of your own wine.
