Kade and I brought Mother's rescue dove up to Asheville, hoping to give it a new life. Sadly, it only lived a bit over a week after making the journey. But it sure seemed happy.

We saw this songbird on a sidewalk in downtown Asheville - not too far from a tree. It didn't appear hurt, but it was not flying away. When I see something like this, I think, "WWMD?" What Would Mother Do?
