Linville Falls was not our plan for the day. Kade and I had actually driven up to Banner Elk, NC, where we were going to hang out a little bit before driving another twenty minutes or so to Elk River Falls. At the waterfall, we were planning to go swimming, do some people watching and have a nice picnic. We drove up to the road leading to the parking area for Elk River Falls, only to be turned back by the county sheriff, who informed us that it was closed for the day because of an accident. I asked what had happened, and he said someone had died. It took a full day before the news hit the wire. If you want to read about the tragic accident at Elk River Falls, click here and here.

You seem to resemble my(our)cousin Robert Gerwig. He is the grandson of Sid Eva. I'd say you do have that same solomon look .. but i think more over all look than just the eyes ... i'm sure you look like an espy too .. but then they were Solomons! - cousin Marjorie
