I got this delicious caramel cake for my birthday. My brother made it!
Julia Child's approved, even though it was an Emeril Caramel Cake!
And a couple of weeks after the caramel cake, a friend made me a Salted Caramel Apple Pie. She said it was a belated Happy Birthday surprise, which I happily accepted. I guess she thought she could improve upon a Malted Chocolate Pecan Pie she made me just a few weeks before! They were equally wonderful!!! For added perfection, slices were served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, from the brand my dad always loved, Breyers! Hard to beat homemade pie with a bit of ice cream! Kade and I tore into those pies so hard and fast, there was no chance for interior pics.
