Alabama Governor Crowns Dinah Grace

In the clippings below, where Mother's  name is mentioned, someone had underlined it.

Governor Patterson arriving by train.  Dinah Grace standing behind.
Dinah's escort Hal Hobbs (Blakely, GA) standing at far right.
They are with the Governor and First Lady.

This particular photograph was taken either the day the governor arrived or the day of his departure.  Not sure who the gentleman in the center is.

Letter sent by Gov. Patterson to Mom after the festivities.
I posted some of the photographs he sent.
One more photo from that day.  Looks like it could have been taken at home.

Your mother is so beautiful in the picture on that blog. (as she always was)

It is so nice that you have the letter the governor sent her - and that he sent it!

Hank and I think the 'man in the middle' with Dinah and Gov. Patterson is Grover Ray of Headland. I think Grover Ray was a Mayor of Headland and one time. Brenda
