A decade-plus ago, Kade and I drove from Highlands, NC (after a visit with Rimson and Charlotte Solomon) to Asheville, North Carolina. It was going to be our first ever visit to Asheville. And this was a spot where we pulled over for a scenic photo. Our purpose in going to Asheville was to see if we might want to live there. We had been considering Charleston, Savannah, and Tampa.
