Stoney Knob Cafe!

March '19

Next month I will visit the Spanish town Ronda, where bullfighting originated, and where author Ernest Hemingway spent summers tapping into his creative side and just at the marveling at the beauty and local culture.  I need to look it up, but I'm guessing Ronda must have been the setting for his novel "Death in the Afternoon."

I photo'd just some of the art inside Stoney Knob Cafe.  It's like dining in a museum!  Eclectic, creative, whimsical, and splashy are words that come to mind.  I don't know the owner, but they have excellent taste.  Just looking at what's displayed on the walls and ceilings, and how each room sort of captivates you, signals to me that the food and service must be outstanding.  And sure enough, it is!  Stoney Knob is off the charts! It's a little off-the-beaten path for tourists, but locals know where it is.  They have a very loyal fan base.  And tourists who are wise will definitely seek it out.   I highly recommend their sirloin burger, if you make it for lunch.
