Asheville's downtown was one of the key reasons we made this city our home. There's always something new to see, and some beautiful art. And let's not forget the restaurants, cocktail bars and music scene. It's hilly and great for walking.
One noticeable improvement downtown is that there are far fewer homeless people. It was out of control for a while - at least two or three years - and city leaders weren't doing anything. No sure where they all went. Hope they got the help they needed.
That's not Bob Marley, btw.
Hmmm. I see an ALABAMA album, but no drawing of the entire band. At the close of the '80s, the Academy of Country Music named ALABAMA its artist of the decade. I also recall that they have had more #1 hits than any band of any musical genre. 41 #1s, in fact. Pretty amazing. To me, the artist who painted this should have really given ALABAMA their props.
