Here's another interesting photo. This is mid-1934. That's very likely J.J. Espy's car. Not sure of the model. His wife, Emma (Carroll) Espy is standing next to it. On the hood of the car is their grandchild, Major Watt Espy, Jr. (Watty/Watt), who was born in 1933. On Thanksgiving Day 1934, a few months after this photo taken, J.J. Espy died in this very car, in an accident, returning from Florida with a bushel of raw oysters to share with his friends. You can learn more about it here.
