Many years ago when this came out, a well-meaning person recommended it. They thought it might be good for my marriage. Ironically, they had been divorced once and were in a lackluster second marriage. Made me scratch my head a bit. Another person I know who supported this film and other films of this genre ended up divorced not many years later. Funny how that works.
The high divorce rate in the Deep South, among very religious people, is a very peculiar thing to me. Kade and I just celebrated our 20th, and we have been together 23. Perfect? Nope. But something's working. Maybe I should write a screenplay.
