This is one of the first videos I made of Kade and me on a hike. We drove north on the Blue Ridge Parkway and into Mount Mitchell State Park. After walking up to the observation area, we then got back on the parkway and stopped at the Black Mountains Overlook for an amazing view. Years later I would stand atop a few of the Black Mountain peaks when hiking the Deep Gap Trail. Click here for that adventure. The Black Mountains are the highest mountains in the Eastern United States.
