A couple of weekends ago, a meetup with a member of my Vann clan resulted in some great beer, even better conversation, and the treasured acquisition of a prized painting.

The other brewery we went to that day was Catawba Brewing (South Slope). Both breweries were lively, and were fabulous for people-watching, which is a favorite activity of mine.
Back in mid-September, I stopped off at The Funkatorium with my walking group. I was curious about new murals on their patio wall. They also have a little garden area that has some cool art. It was a little too bright for photography. We are definitely excited about Spring and Summer visits in 2019.
