We had been seeing the mom and cubs less and less. It was getting cooler, and they just weren't out as often. So this day was a big surprise! And I got right over to the curb, which gave us great access. I used the freeze-frame feature of my video editing software. I wanted you to see how tight security was! Kade did a great job capturing the cub up in the tree - eating, moving about, then climbing down. There were some ladies in a car near us, and they were getting a tad hysterical. At the end, one jumped out of the backseat to get a better photo. The cubs scampered away. But what a marvelous surprise on a beautiful fall day!
