Fall Coffee

High Five Coffee has been one of my regular spots for a coffee.  It's on a walking route I enjoy, and it's an easy place to meet people.  It's almost always super busy, which is not a plus to me.  Kind of noisy, and not the best to relax.  However, the coffee is really good, and the scene is ideal for people watching.  There's a branch downtown that is actually a little more laid back, and the design of it is really nice.

Asheville, as you can imagine, has a number of fabulous coffee shops.  Below are my favorite five, in no particular order.

T-Rex mural, open front area with views of sidewalk activity, quirky West Asheville

harder for tourists to find, great bagels and pastries, in a spot surrounded by murals

downtown branch is fab, delicious cream cheeses for bagels

downtown, about the coffee, has an edge to it

high ceilings, spacious, great for a private chat or for work and study
