Riverside Cemetery Bear

We first heard a report on WLOS:  Bear strolls through Riverside Cemetery.  Since the cemetery is in an area where I walk a lot, we thought we might go over there to see if we could spot one.  It was getting close to Halloween, and the setting would be surreal.  The cemetery is very large, and there's a small road that takes you all around it.  It also sits on the side of a mountain (a nice hill, really) and has an abundance of trees.  If you were wildlife, you'd love it.  In the past, I have seen foxes, deer and a variety of birds out there.  But never a bear!  Well, that changed.  On our visit, sure enough, one made an appearance.  Since you can scan a vast area, it actually was not too difficult to spot.  The bear moved pretty quickly from the very bottom of the cemetery up towards the main gate, where it eventually disappeared into a Montford neighborhood.  He was walking with purpose, and not hanging around to graze.  At one point I was able to video it walking behind the family plot of famous Asheville writer, Thomas Wolfe.  I used my Sony Handycam for zoom-in shots.  A smartphone just doesn't have the capability.
