Follow the Fox

Let's start with this vintage commercial from 1983.

This is the mayo-based one again.  Pretty good!

Nubble Lighthouse

We were having some issues with our camera settings.  A lady from Maryland helped us out.

Towards the end of our time at the lighthouse, we talked briefly with a lady from Connecticut.  She was by herself.  I offered to take a photo of her with lighthouse in background.  In the parking lot, I saw plates from the New England states, plus New York, Ohio and another from North Carolina.

We got a text from somebody who told us that their sister loved the Nubble Lighthouse on Cape Neddick, and would make trips there to paint the lighthouse - in fact, very close to the spot where Kade was taking photos.  And they went on to tell us that after their sister died, family scattered her ashes in the water near the lighthouse.  Kade has some of her father's ashes in an urn pendant.

For an afternoon meal, we returned to Robert's Maine Grill in Kittery,  This time we sat at the bar.  The couple next to us were from Atlanta!  They love Asheville.

I had a lime basil martini.

The oysters were outstanding, and the shrimp were super delicious.  And the sides, once again, were very good.

Out in the parking lot, I met a lady from Connecticut who studied at Duke.  She was in Asheville not long ago.  Loved it, she said.

York Harbor Inn

We got some Seafood Chowder and Lobster Corn Chowder for take-home.  They were the perfect comfort food!  The manager of the restaurant told us she's excited about an upcoming trip to Charleston and Savannah - her first time.

About that time!

Some of Kade's Nikon photos

This photo, and the next few, Kade took from a pull-over at York Beach.

Nice to look out and see where we started our day!
