I didn't swim a whole lot at the Headland City Pool since we primarily went out to Headland Country Club.  However, I did enjoy the city pool.  On occasion, I would even bicycle to it from our home on Solomon Rd.  I remember Chris "Biscuit" Solomon working the desk.  Seems like it was only 25 cents to enter.  Surely that's wrong!  The water was unbelievably cold.  There were pretty girls everywhere.  And the diving board and the deep-end were quite scary to me.  The best part about the experience was the music!  All the best of 70s and 80s were being played.  Even today, when I hear a song from way back then, I think about the Headland City Pool.
