Day #3

Across the hall from us was a suite where President Polk when he was in the area inspecting at lighthouses.  By the end of our stay in Damariscotta, our Airbnb host let us walk through that suite.

Let's tweak this:  If you are lucky enough to live by Scully Sea Products, then you are lucky enough.

I had these shucked for me, by one of the fastest shuckers in New England:  Andy Rodgers.

This lobster roll was average at best.  The chunks like this, if not cooked perfectly, can be very chewy.  I tend to like the sliced up version with butter only or the sliced up meat made into salad using a bit of mayo.

Went back to Trevett Country Store to get a lobster roll.  We enjoyed one there last year.  It was near closing when we walked in, and we decided it was best to pass on it.  Sometimes it's best not to ruin a very good memory of a place.

Deer were everywhere.

We got a pizza late in the evening.  They had this signed Brady shirt on the wall.
