Click here for the article.  Very timely advice.  Bears are out again.  I'm aware of people who feed bears via birdfeeders; it's done for YouTube videos, Instagram videos and Facebook photos.  The goal, I guess, is to get more and more subscribers and to make money off of it.  It's entertaining to observe, but it's not good for the bears and not good for people in the community.  Bears that get accustomed to being on people's porches and approaching human beings will one day bite a child.  When that happens, the bear gets euthanized.  No question.  And who knows what occurs to the child (or the pet)?  My hope is that, when that happens, charges can be brought against the individuals who have been exploiting the bears in this manner.  Let's all make a better effort to be BearWise.
