Grandmother Kate (Solomon) Vann worked the store for Mr. Blumenfeld as a teen or young woman, and I’m pretty sure she was working there with she married Granddaddy Vann.
Barney Blumenfeld was a traveling-salesman who sold clothes and he called on Daddy (Felix Vann) at White & Vann Co. for many years. He and Daddy were very good buddies. I think he lived in Dothan and that would make sense because Dothan had a thriving Jewish community in that era. - Bill Vann
