Walks

These images are from a few walks between mid-September and mid-November.

Hmmm

Cute, but I've always wanted far fewer dogs and tourists.  Cat and bear numbers can increase substantially.  Sorry, Scooter.

On a somber note, although tourist #s will certainly be down for some time, I wouldn't have desired it to have been the result of a devastating tropical storm pummeling the region.  I'd rather have the tourists, the trees, the landscape we had before, and the lives we lost.

These nutrition bars are really good!

This is just some of Helene's wreckage.  Bears have a difficult landscape to traverse these days.

My idea of a selfie!

Jus' Running on Merrimon Avenue is where I get my shoes.

This political season I saw very few Harris-Walz signs in the core of a city, Asheville, that has leaned pretty heavily to left since I've been here.  And in some neighborhoods (again, in the heart of Asheville), I even saw Trump-Vance signs, which might have been unthinkable in 2016 or even 2020.  The writing was on the wall (no pun intended 😊).
