Bye Bye 2024

I saw quite a lot of bears during the year.  These were my favorite sightings.
I commissioned this cute piece, and every aspect of it was my idea.  I asked an Asheville artist (Helen Nagan) to do a pastel of me, using my adult face but with some baby characteristics.  I also wanted my overall size to be that of a baby and to be wrapped in a black bear swaddle.  I chose "Miracle Baby" as the title to signify a new birth.  I had a bit of a health scare in 2024, but it turned out to be nothing, thankfully.
A Thai artist painted my portrait using some closeup photos he took of me when I stopped by his gallery in Bangkok.  He said he worked on it about a week.  Very good overall.  Nose is on the large side, but hey.  This portrait has now been framed (Frugal Framer in Asheville) and it graces my bedroom wall.
I made this sidecar cocktail about ten days after Helene hit Asheville.  I named it F U Hurricane Cocktail.  That was a wild ride!
