Dr. James Dobson obituary
For about five years or so, I really enjoyed his radio show. And I recall there being at least one book of his around our home. My first real awareness of Dobson was when he interviewed serial killer Ted Bundy on the eve of Bundy's execution. The interview was shown in my church training class on a Sunday evening at the Baptist church! I also remember hearing that "Pistol Pete" Maravich had a heart attack and died while playing a pickup basketball game with Dobson and others. Oh, and I recall playing a "Teacher of the Year" Focus on the Family cassette on our home stereo system. Dobson was interviewing a teacher who had made a great impact. My mother was there with me, and we listened together. There was no denying Dr. James Dobson's passion and focus.
