Firsts

We were actually the first customers of the day.  I told the cashier that we drove all the way up from NC to try Bob's.  She was impressed!  I was simply hoping they'd put some TLC into preparing our order.

Our first lobster roll and whole belly clams!!

That's an oyster farm (Spinney Creek) that we could view from our Airbnb back deck.

We then drove across the bridge into Portsmouth.

Portsmouth reminded me of Porto and Savannah.  Very walkable.  Historic.  Coastal.

Now back in Kittery.

First oysters in Maine!

Our waitress said she had been south, on a long drive to Florida.  Stopped in Raleigh and Charleston.  Enjoyed that trip.  She told us that in the wintertime oysters can be half-price in Maine, and that's when locals indulge.

The lobster roll was good, but not as tasty as Bob's.  Interesting tidbit:  The man who recently bought Robert's Maine Grill, also bought Bob's Clam Hut and a few other places.

Here are a few photos with our Nikon
