Real Wisdom

I probably see more Alabama sports logos around town.  I see Auburn occasionally, and now the Georgia Bulldogs, since they won the football national championship.  All in all, though, very little outward sports enthusiasm in Asheville - not the way it might be in Alabama, certainly not for college sports.  There are reasons for this.

The Grove Park Inn is in the distance.  I hike all around it and up above it.

Way down there is Reynolds Village.

Signs like this are fairly common around Asheville.  Are people sincere?  Or is it virtue signaling?

It always funny to see this sign in a neighborhood where no blacks live, and displayed by people who possibly don't have any interactions with blacks.  Asheville is a lot like this.  Just makes you think a bit.

Notice the flag.  I wonder how many people cared about Ukrainians and Russians 20, 10 or even 5 years ago?!  Can they explain basic events over just the past quarter of a century that have shaped and created today's news?!

This is on the UNCA campus.  I'm guessing somebody was texting and/or drinking.

People left behind the doggy poop bag.
